Blooming Semantics Institute is an independent interdisciplinary initiative dedicated to semantic engineering, knowledge architecture and the study of coherence in human and artificial systems.
WHY BLOOMING SEMANTICS INSTITUTE?
BSI brings together perspectives from linguistics, semantics, philosophy of language, comparative epistemology, artificial intelligence, law and standardization.
Our work starts from a simple observation: increasingly sophisticated systems can process unprecedented quantities of information while remaining vulnerable to conceptual ambiguity, semantic drift and internal incoherence.
Our approach
BSI develops methods for analysing, structuring and improving semantic and conceptual systems under conditions of ambiguity, contradiction and heterogeneous knowledge.
Rather than opposing qualitative and computational approaches, we seek to articulate them. Formalisation and computation become more reliable when the concepts, distinctions and relations on which they operate have first been critically examined.
This approach underlies QualComputing: a quality-first perspective on computation centred on conceptual coherence, ontological fidelity, interpretive robustness and inferential traceability.
